The future of sleeping, and pretty much everything else, is right around the corner.
Reality Biz News reports that talks about the Hi Can Bed are continuing and the concept bed could become a reality in the near future.
The bed is basically a futuristic, all-inclusive, home automation, and sleep space area. You’ll be surrounded on all sides by open area but with dropping blinds at your disposal for “ultra-darkness.” The Hi Can Bed also has a giant television built into it, connection to multimedia speakers, acts as a WiFi router for the rest of the house, and even has a built in computer.
You even have room to sleep!
The future really is here. Technology has changed the world so many times over the last few… centuries, decades, years, and what seems like now, days! It’s a bit overwhelming to most people when you really think about how far we have come and how far we can still go. Flying cars don’t seem too crazy anymore it’s actually kind of a bummer that there aren’t millions of them flying around like the Jetsons already.
Technology changing where we sleep — now that’s when you really know we’re getting comfortable with all this new tech. When it affects our home and we can use these innovations for relaxation and leisure — and not for fighting wars or changing the world — that’s when we get use to these inventions and maybe begin to take them for granted.
It’s hard not to.
Home automation systems are so advanced now, that even smaller homes have amazing home theater systems in them. Pretty soon, home automation will allow us to simultaneously sleep and travel through time and space. Just a guess.
For those who grew up in the 1960s and 1970s, the technology that exists now is extremely overwhelming. For those that grew up in the 80’s and 90’s, the generation that played the first video games and watched television regularly, they are still blown away by the new inventions coming out in today’s world.
The generation that was born within the last few years, however, they only know this world where we can sleep and play on a computer and fly around in space at the same time. They are going to take it for granted like the rest of us took playing on swing sets for granted. Remember how great swing sets were?
